ABOUT OUR CHAIRMAN

Dr Viswanath Patnala, the only MCh qualified surgical oncologist in Rajahmundry has earned his MBBS and MS General Surgery degrees from the prestigious Osmania Medical College. He secured first rank in AP Superspeciality entrance exam in the very first attempt in 2007 and successfully earned his MCh Surgical Oncology degree from MNJIO & RCC, Hyderabad. His skills in surgical oncology were further enriched by his surgical observerships at Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai and Kidwai Medical Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru. He has the much coveted international exposure through his observership at University of Nebraska Medical Centre, Omaha, USA. He has also successfully completed certificate course in Indian Association of Palliative Care. He won the Vyagreswarudu State best paper award twice successively and delivered numerous guest lectures in regional and state conferences. He has vast experience of 12 years in surgical oncology (9 years as independent consultant) and has successfully completed over 1600 major surgeries to date. Established Chandrakala SuperSpeciality Hospital in February 2016 with sole aim of making cancer care accessible and affordable to all.
